Excited about the 2012 Season

Our racing season is approaching us quickly, so I would like to give you some insight on why I am personally very excited about the 2012 season. I want to thank Jimmy Dick and Viva Auto Group for allowing us to make some great strides in this off season with putting things in position which will hopefully insure some great races for us at Viva/CSR.  Starting with the hiring of Jason Miller as our crew chief, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and we are sure to see the results. We have two brand new Hopkins cars built from the ground up along with one RCR/Harvick car in our shop with 2 more coming and the car we ran last Fall in Texas. We will have six cars to run our 14 races. We have signed up the Hendrick Motorsports “farm team” as our pit crew, hired Ryan Newman’s cup spotter to help Jamie and also will be getting him some driver coaching from a seasoned veteran. Our power will again come from Collins engine works with the strong R-07 motors.

I have been telling everyone since last September that we have a lot of building going on. We will continue to push forward. I will do my best to keep everyone informed through this site, Corrie Stott racing on Facebook and Corrie Stott on Twitter. May we all have a great 2012 racing season.

Jason Miller joins Viva Motorsports and Corrie Stott Racing as crew chief for the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.

Viva Motorsports owner Jimmy Dick and Corrie Stott of Corrie Stott Racing are pleased to announce the hiring of veteran crew chief Jason Miller for the NACAR Nationwide Series 2012 season.

With backing from Viva Auto Group, the team plans to support driver Jamie Dick in twelve to fifteen Nationwide Series races in 2012. The team competed in five Camping World Truck Series races and three Nationwide Series races with Jamie in 2011.

Miller has served as crew chief for David Starr in the Camping World Truck Series for the past three years, finishing in the top thirteen in points each year with a best finish of 9th in 2009 and 2010.

Miller says he is extremely excited about this opportunity to move into the Nationwide Series, and looks forward to working with his new team. He particularly enjoys working with young drivers and reflects on his success taking driver Donnie Lia to victory lane in 2008.

The team is finalizing their schedule for 2012, and planning testing with two new cars currently being built at CSR’s Denver, NC shop.

Stott says the team is currently weighing options to include additional driver(s) to expand their Nationwide Series schedule for 2012.
